[edit] My Motto
A stitch in time is worth two in the bush.
[edit] Who am I? Where am I from?
I'm from the upper-west side and now I live on the upper-west side. My life has come full circle and there's nothing more for me to learn. My task is now to enrich the world with my wisdom and passionate humility.
[edit] People I enjoy working with
I like curious people. Check that, I enjoy passionately curious people. I like nerds. I work well with nerds and nerds work well with me.
People cynical and sharp enough never to fully trust anyone who spends over $10 on lunch or $100 on jeans, yet upbeat enough to invite cruel and unusual social commentary.
[edit] Interests
I enjoy long walks on the beach in sub-arctic temperatures. Madagascar is lovely, even when you have a rash. I enjoy cookouts and barbecues, but long for a day when the processed food industry will finally make a delectable veggie dog.
[edit] Heroes
List five people you think of as your heroes. They can be famous or not. Explain why each is a hero to you.
[edit] Books
What's your favorite book? List the books you've been reading this month. What did you recently finish? Would you recommend any of these books? Why or why not? What are you reading now?
[edit] My Life with the NYC Department of Education
How long have you been teaching in a NYC school? What do you think about the school you work in now? about other schools you have worked in... What has been your best experience as a NYC public school teacher?
[edit] My Future
I will conquer flight.
Then I will conquer death.
Then I will fall.
Then I will die.
[edit] Questions
Seth, why are you so cool?
Seth, how can I be cool like you?
Seth, are there online resources for coolness instruction if I can't find the time to get out of the house or my bedroom?
World, why are you so uncool?
World, how can I help you become cool like me?
World, how can we create online resources for you, and for others in the first world to become cool as well? (For the highest level of Maslow's Lost Hierarchy was Coolness--not Self-Actualization)
