A New York City teacher has different standards lists to choose from.
- New York City Performance Standards
- New York State Learning Standards
- Professional Organizations' Learning Standards, a compilation of which is available at McRel's Content Knowledge (4th Edition)
These (and other) lists all provide useful language for teachers as they develop their own, more meaningful lists of learning outcomes for particular students in specific schools doing personally relevant projects.
