Why are abortions being done by teen girls? It has been noticed that when teen girls get pregnant they see that getting an abortion is the easy way out. Teen Girls get abortions because they are not ready to have a child and they are unaware of the health issues that occur during an abortion. They also think that if you can get the money for an abortion that it will be fine. Some people are for getting abortions, but abortions only cause more problems in a young teen’s life.

Teen girls don’t know what they are putting themselves through when having an abortion. They are not properly educated. Teenage bodies are not developed enough to handle an abortion. Studies show that, “teenagers are at higher risk of suffering many abortion related complications.” This happens because their cervix is still developing. (www.teenbreaks.com) Teens also don’t know the whole procedure of an abortion. All they think is that the baby is getting taken out of their body.

Teen girls think that just because they can get the money for an abortion that it is still ok to have one. The cost of an abortion for the first trimester (first three months) ranges from $250-$400.(www.teenbreaks.com) This shows that the cost for an abortion isn’t that much money and that is why so many of them are done. It is even easier to get an abortion by taking pills that you can get from your doctor. You can only do this within the first seven weeks of your pregnancy. When you take the pill you “expel the embryo from your uterus.” Since the way you get the pills is so easy this is why abortions are done so often.

Teen girls are not responsible because they go and have sex while they know the risk. Teenage girls know that if they have sex without a condom that they can get pregnant. When they get pregnant they think having an abortion is the easy way out. 50% of pregnant teens choose to have an abortion. This proves that teens are irresponsible because 50% of teens are a lot of kids. All of those kids shouldn’t be having sex anyway.

Teenagers should live their life and have fun before they think of having kids. They should be more aware of the risk that they take when they do have sex. I think abortions should not be allowed period because they are taking an innocent persons life away just because their “parents” were irresponsible. How would you feel if someone killed you just because your parents did something wrong?
