What is this?Edit
This picture was taken on a ship and it is full of a lot of color people and some white people in it. And there is a white person on top of cabin who is hitting or trying scare the color people with some kind of a weapon in his hand. And there is some other white guy who is grabbing color women by the shoulders and kissing her by force. There are two white people carrying some pots and it seems that it has food in it since the other people are trying to obtain one of them.
What do we know about it?Edit
It fits into the story of triangular trade because all of the people on the ship were African American who came from Africa. Also people on that ship mostly died and when they do get fed they get barley enough to live. Also in an article,<"History of the Dominican Republic", an article from Wikipedia> it says, "eight years later African-born slaves arrived in the West Indies."
This picture is connected to the Africans in the Caribbean/Latin America article because it talks about African America slaves. To be specific it says that African Americans might have been in the Americas even before the European exploration. I chose this picture because it shows slaves on a boat being brought to the Americas which is also mentioned in the article.
